The NANIWA Lobster Chemical Finishing Stone A3-2 #4000 with Base is a classic Japanese finishing stone widely trusted by professional chefs and sharpeners.
This long-established model uses a magnesia bonding system, allowing it to be used with minimal water preparation. The included plastic base provides stability during sharpening, making it suitable for both professional and workshop environments.
The #4000 grit is ideal for final edge refinement, producing a smooth, controlled cutting edge with fine slurry formation. It is particularly valued for Japanese knives, where a balanced sharpness and cutting feel are required.
As one of NANIWA’s traditional flagship finishing stones, it has been used for decades in professional kitchens and sharpening workshops.
