This Underglaze Copper-Red ‘Peony’ creation is celebrated as an exceptional Imperial Porcelain Vase, reflecting the powerful artistic renewal that emerged under the Ming Dynasty Hongwu court. Its elegant silhouette follows the refined proportions of the Yuhuchunping form, where graceful curves enhance the vitality of the copper-red peony blossoms symbolizing honor and prosperity.

The glowing crimson decoration—rare and technically demanding—demonstrates the craftsmanship perfected during the Ming Dynasty Hongwu kilns. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, painted with natural mineral pigments, and fired up to 1280°C in kiln to be finished products, keeping forever like a diamond, capturing the early brilliance of the Yuhuchunping tradition while preserving the dignity expected of an imperial Imperial Porcelain Vase.

A milestone in ceramic innovation, this masterpiece unites symbolic floral design with the pioneering underglaze copper-red technology established during the Ming Dynasty Hongwu era. The refined contours of the Yuhuchunping vessel, paired with its luminous surface, embody imperial authority, aesthetic purity, and the enduring legacy of the founding emperor—qualities that define the prestige of every true Imperial Porcelain Vase.

Entertaining, informative, without being overwhelming.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Got it for, basically, half-off standard retail. At that price, it's a fine addition to the WWII library. Some interesting information displayed in a mostly entertaining way. I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".
