The La Motte Litmus pH Papers offer a fast, reliable way to test soil acidity or alkalinity, giving gardeners and farmers essential insights to support healthy, productive crops. Each vial contains 200 strips, providing an economical supply for regular soil checks throughout the growing season. Simple to use, these strips require only a soil-water slurry and a quick dip to reveal pH results within seconds—no special equipment needed.
Use these basic, inexpensive litmus papers as a way to gauge the pH of a solution or soil sample. Litmus papers are only a general test and cannot give you an exact pH reading like our other pH tests or pH meter. They’re ideal for quick field checks, early troubleshooting, or when you need a fast, on-the-spot assessment of soil conditions.
- Test sample consists of 1 part soil with 1 part distilled water
- Includes a color chart to compare color of reading to 8 possible pH numbers ranging from 3 to 10
Designed for both home gardens and small farms, these pH papers help maintain optimal soil conditions for nutrient uptake, microbial activity, and strong plant growth. The sturdy, moisture-resistant vial keeps strips safe during storage or transport, ensuring they’re ready when you need them most. Need more tools for soil and plant care?
