Elliott O'Donnell was a British author and paranormal investigator who wrote extensively about the supernatural, ghosts, and other unexplained phenomena. One of his areas of interest was in strange disappearances, which he wrote about in his book "Strange Disappearances" published in 1927.
In the book, O'Donnell describes a number of cases of people who vanished under mysterious circumstances, often in isolated or remote locations. He suggests that many of these disappearances may have been the result of paranormal or supernatural activity, such as the actions of ghosts or other entities.
Some of the cases he discusses include the unexplained disappearance of Ambrose Small, a wealthy Canadian theatre impresario who vanished in 1919 and was never found, as well as the strange case of the Bennington Triangle, where a number of people disappeared in the wilderness of Vermont under highly unusual circumstances.
O'Donnell also explores the idea that some of these disappearances may be linked to ley lines or other natural energy forces, and that the supernatural may play a role in these phenomena.
