The four band members-drummer Michael Calabrese, bassist Bridget Kearney, singer Rachael Price, and guitarist/trumpeter Michael "McDuck" Olson-worked with Nashville-based producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Secret Sisters) on the record. Side Pony takes it's name from a song on the record that refers to a whimsical hairstyle, but it also serves as a metaphor for Lake Street Dive's philosophy and personality as a band. As Kearney puts it, "When we were settling on the album title, that one just stuck out to us as embodying the band's spirit. We've always been this somewhat impossible to categorize, weird, outlying, genre-less band. That's the statement we wanted to make with this record: be yourself." Cobb's working method was to keep the recording fast and loose, as live-in-the-studio as possible, and to embrace the unorthodox. This provided Lake Street Dive with a welcome challenge: an opportunity to experiment with sound and arrangements and to collaborate on songwriting in a way the band had never attempted before. Calabrese says of the recording process, "Dave's process was mercurial, changing direction quickly, going from 'we don't have anything' to 'we've got it!'" He continues, "We weren't always so sure. But then we'd listen to a comp and we'd agree that he'd heard something we hadn't." Price adds, "It was great to see, through this particular recording process, how beautifully our individual strengths complement each other."

Excellent Socks! From Birth to 4 years old. The Best Brand out there!
I love the Robeez Brand socks! They are the only ones that would stay on our boy when he was a baby (he'd kick off all the other brands). So at 4 months I found Robeez brand and have never looked back. My son is now 3 so I just ordered him the 2-4 size...which sadly is the biggest size they make. They are a bit too big for him now...but he will grow into them. I will be very sad when he can't fit into Robeez socks any longer. I highly recommend these socks! They wear great, wash great, and keep the kiddos secure with the no-slip writing on bottom.

BEST baby socks! Worth every penny!
They don’t fall off!!!! O M G! Seriously my little guy is Houdini when it comes to socks, we’ve tried ankle, thick, thin, this brand, that brand, and no matter what he kicks them off or I was constantly having to pull them back up his ankles.... not with these!!! I put them on in the morning and they don’t come off until I take them off in the evening at bath time! These Robeez socks will be the only socks I will ever buy again for my little ones!!!! Seriously hands down BEST baby socks!!!! Worth every penny!!! You won’t regret it!

Truly kick-proof socks, well worth the price!
These socks are fantastic. The only brand Ive found that are kick proof...they stay on my babys feet, no matter how active he is. They are nice quality, wash well and last over time. Two of the three pair I bought this time have an inner "toe liner" thay prevents their toes from getting snagged. Great design, but makes the sock's a little warmer than the unlined sock. The price tag appears high, but its well worth the cost. I bought the shark print (super cute!), 12 month size.

Good socks that *usually* stay on!
These do stay on my son's feet better than most other brands of socks but if he's really kicking (like in his car seat), they do still come off. He's 7 months and they fit OK. It seems they are sized a little small for 6-12mo. Other brands I have (Old Navy, for one) are just a tad larger so they'll fit him longer (even though he can pull those brands off more easily-just cannot win!). Otherwise they are made well and are good quality (which I was happy about considering the price!).
