From Fobbit author David Abrams, Brave Deeds is a compelling novel of war, brotherhood, and America. Spanning eight hours, the novel follows a squad of six AWOL soldiers as they attempt to cross war-torn Baghdad on foot to attend the funeral of their leader, Staff Sergeant Rafe Morgan. As the men make their way to the funeral, they recall the most ancient of warriors yet are a microcosm of twenty-first-century America, and subject to the same human flaws as all of us. Drew is reliable in the field but unfaithful at home; Cheever, overweight and whining, is a friend to no one--least of all himself; and platoon commander Dmitri "Arrow" Arogapoulos is stalwart, yet troubled with questions about his own identity and sexuality. Emotionally resonant, true-to-life, and thoughtfully written, Brave Deeds is a gripping story of combat and of perserverance, and an important addition to the oeuvre of contemporary war fiction.Binding Type: Paperback

Unsure about your creative gifts?
Format: Paperback
Creativity usually isn't a gift recognized within most churches and, consequently, anyone wanting to use their gifts within that context face discouragement and isolation.
Janice Elsheimer recognizes this struggle in her book, The Creative Call: An Artist's Response to the Way of the Spirit. A book applicable to individual or group study, she walks readers simple steps to reclaim that creative spirit. Using practical applications, examples from her own life and exercises within the book, the reader is able to work through stumbling blocks that may inhibit their own growth and, probably most importantly, given permission and affirmation that indeed, their gifts are important and have a place within the modern church.

We LOVED this book!
Format: Paperback
I got a small group together to read and do the exercises in the book. We LOVED the book! I could re-read it every year for the rest of my life, and probably will. Our group have made a lot of changes in our individual art practices, such as seeing it as sacred time between us and God, and putting it ahead of chores. Setting limits with family is still difficult, as we see our ministry to our family to be just as important, but we have made, as a whole, a lot of progress thanks to Janice!

Protect your legacy
Format: Kindle
This book is a gem if you want to learn strategies to protect your business assets from the risks of lawsuits, creditors, and financial write-offs. The book motivates you to learn strategies to take care of your assets in your business and thus have peace of mind that your legacy is protected for future generations of your family.
I liked this reading, in addition to learning something new, I did not feel overwhelmed with so many legal terms as in other books, the author has a way of explaining the terms in a clear and simple way and includes practical examples so that one understands it better. It explains how asset protection works, if your business faces legal action it protects your personal assets from being affected and they can be protected by being separated by trusts. It also helps you reduce taxes, give stability to your business and protect your legacy. If you are a business owner, it does not matter if it is large or small, I recommend that you read this book, you will learn a lot, such as the types of trust that exist and which one is appropriate according to your needs and it will serve as a guide to make a protection plan for your assets.
